This year AANS is helping to support Camp Seale Harris and Sugar Falls Day Camp in a project we are calling the Sugar Babies Initiative. These camps are run by Southeastern Diabetes Education Services; they include the Camp Seale Harris (overnight camp) , Sugar Falls day camps, and Sugar Falls community programs. All of these camps/programs have one main goal and that is to teach children to live well with diabetes. They help teach and coach these children about how to manage their diabetes at a young age so they can avoid all the serious complications that can occur if diabetes is not managed effectively.
**Chapters participating in the State Project Fundraiser will receive points toward the Chapter of Champions Award at the AANS Annual Convention. Chapters will receive one (1) point for each $50 raised up to a maximum of five (5) points.
